The Boathouse from the other side of the bay

We spent the morning in Portree, grocery shopping for the week.  When we visited Skye last year there were very few tourists due to Covid restrictions and we had time to chat to the owners of those small businesses that were quieter.  In one we discovered that some locals differentiated between visitors and tourists.  We were considered as visitors as we rented accommodation, had meals in restaurants as well as shopping for provisions at the supermarket. It may seem petty to make a comparison, but such small communities rely on visitor support to keep their livelihood going and generally goods and services are of a high quality.  After lunch we walked to the far side of the bay, on the right hand side of most photos, to suss out a good position for fishing.  As usual the walk took much longer than anticipated and involved some treacherous scurrying over wet rocks, but it was worth it to get this picture of the Boathouse.
