Small beginnings

Decided to turn my hand to drawing, something i haven't done since school several lifetimes ago. Following an online course of dubious quality and i say this because some sections are covered in Photoshop, like the shading of this cube and theres no guidance on how to achieve a smooth transition or to blend your shading which is a comparative doddle in PS.
