Soldiering On

In the form of the Common Red Soldier Beetle.

Also known as the Hogweed Bonking Beetle, and I am not surprised! It was a busy evening but I did find this lonely chap. 

Apparently they spend as much of their adult lives as possible in flagrante delicto, making more beetles (I did notice). With rare breaks to eat pollen and aphids.
