The curious household restriction rules allow Edgar, Nicky and I out today, despite being close contacts of the positive Amos, but it's only him whose isolation gets extended. I rang to check, but it still seems a bit odd (when the point of isolation is surely to allow other committed infections to announce themselves) so I tested myself daily in the run up to running out to the EICC for my second jab in case I tested positive before the scheduled appointment on Thursday and had to wait an extra 28 days.
