Mural of Change

This mural by Karski & Beyond is named as such "Mural of Change".and it's realised on a wall of Den Haag's Academy.

I'd spotted it today and wasn't aware of the story internet showed me:

It's realised a year ago as a brightly colored tribute to three young activists, of whom two also portrayed here, have lost their lives in their battles and protest against injustice. The third, Greta Thunberg, is more militant than ever.

Them who lost life are: Vitàli Safarov, who was a human rights activist in Georgia, standing up for residents who, like himself, have a different ethnic background. He was Jewish and stabbed to death in 2018 by neo-Nazis when protesting in Tbilisi ~ he had friends and supporters here in Den Haag.

Berta Cáceres was an environmental activist in her country Honduras and was assassinated in her home in 2016; she'd been on a hitlist for years.

This mural is a nice way to excite passers-by and make them think about our world and about justice and injustice and about freedom and life under threat and danger.
