Cockatoo

The sulphur crested cockatoo is a large, heavy, noisy bird. We are delighted to have many of them around our house. When they visit it is usually at least 6 or 7 at a time, all looking for seed, or something to eat.

You can approach reasonably close, maybe almost within 1 metre. However you would never wish to try and feed them seed off your hand because they could take a finger off with that strong beak in one easy snip.
