Wild almond trees

There’s a grove of old almond trees in my neighbourhood. Back before they started building homes in this area of Adelaide there were many commercial almond orchards. As more houses were built through the 1930s and beyond, the orchards disappeared. There are remnants about the place and some of the older houses still have one or two trees in their gardens. This is a meeting place that all the locals know. It’s the dead of Adelaide winter and the blossoms will be gone in a month.
