His pride and joy.

Normous isn’t interested in gardening apart from the lawn. He takes great pride in it, making sure there are no weeds and it is always kept neatly mown and edged. So when this sight greeted us this morning there was utter dismay! It is not just this area, it is all over. We think it could be badgers but it may be foxes. It has happened before, but they have never done quite such a thorough job in previous years. N has bought a packet of lion poo which is supposed to deter them. We’ll see. (Extra)
I had a six month check up at St Helier hospital this morning. It is an ugly building, (extra) chaotic inside, but they do the job. N came with me this time and for the first time he saw the x-ray of my broken femur and was amazed at the sight of all the metalwork that had been used for the repair. The surgeon asked if I had noticed an increase in weight after the operation. Apparently the repairs weighed 2 kilos! He pronounced all to be well.
