Crimsworth Terrace, Midgehole

The interesting thing about this blip is the two 'outhouses' in front of the terrace.
There are 12 houses and these two 'outbuildings' are across the road in front of the terrace. They were the toilets for the whole row. Each had 4 seats - well 'holes' in a wooden bench really - with no partitions in between!! (I assume they planned that not everyone would want to 'go' all at the same time)
Below the holes was a 'long drop' - ash from the coal fires and lime was tipped down to assist in the 'breakdown' of the contents.
No longer in use, they are now used for the storage of firewood and general 'clutter'.
Good old days :-)
