Sticks

I really don’t know what these are that grow so tall on a stick.    But I love this purple blossom.   Next time by, I’ll try my ID app. Seen on my walk and playing a bit with them....

Edit:  artichoke or cardoon ?   Or just invasive weed?  All thistles
