AOG212 :: Open Water

A diplomatic incident was narrowly averted this morning at the first event in the Pond Arena. It appears to have involved a clash in the scheduling.

The first heats of the coxless pairs involving Team Striders, Skaters & Skimmers where about to start. All three teams refused to get on the water until they had confirmation the Amphibia competitors, who had been training beforehand, were out of the Arena. 

Their fears were justified when a member of Team Ribbit was found hiding amongst the lily pads. Apparently he didn't want to return all the way to the AOG Village to get his breakfast...
