Hastings Old Town & St Leonards-On-Sea

Had a little break away with Mr W for an overnight :-)

We had wanted the see the cliff railways in Hastings Old Town.
The East Hill lift was excavated by hand, opened in 1902 & is the steepest cliff railway in Britain with a gradient of 1:1.28 - the views from the top were beautiful :)

We stayed in great accommodation just a mile down the coast where we enjoyed sitting on the beach & a delicious Italian meal in the evening - see extras for the wonderful food we enjoyed all day!!

In other news it was Mum & Dad’s 54th Anniversary and Dad’s care home made it special for both of them xx
