Without touching your lips

After a six-hour drive up through Spain under painfully clear skies and warm sunshine, we arrived in Sitges, just south of Barcelona, in time for a sparkling Spanish lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. At the end of the meal they brought us this sweet liquor and a plate of crunchy biscuits. It's supposed to be drunk by tipping your head back and pouring it down your throat in a long stream from above your head, without it ever touching your lips. I was sure I would get it all over my face and shirt (terrible waste), so we just poured it into glasses and dunked our wee biscuits - to the horror, I am sure, of the locals. Tasted delicious, though.
