A beach, some sun and some old friends

What could be better than that? 

A day trip to Elie, meeting up with friends from London and Edinburgh for a very leisurely lunch in the garden, followed by a stroll along the beach. 

Having realised that we would not get home until late, we detoured to Anstruther for fish and chips. The highly commended chip shop there had an immense queue but another one along the road was quieter, and we got  really good fish supper to eat overlooking the sea.
