Bumblebee on Tree Rose of Sharon

The luxurious pinky-purple blooms have opened on the tree rose of sharon at the edge of our yard. And the big bumblebees are very, very busy, trying to get at all of that pollen. I spent a few minutes just watching them, snapping away on the camera.

Their little bodies are so fuzzy they are almost touchable, and their wings are shiny like cellophane. They are very mild-mannered, totally engrossed in their task; they are peaceful little bumblers, these bees.

The soundtrack song is this one: Journey, Be(e!) Good to Yourself.
