Inspiring Hope

A trip into town first thing revealed the location of more elephants, but I was after one (even more) special one.

Sat between the Town Hall's Main Entrance and the town's War Memorial is this tribute to Captain Sir Tom Moore.

The design, supported by The Captain Tom Foundation, features many nods to Captain Sir Tom, including a woven theme of signature flowers with white roses for Yorkshire, where Captain Sir Tom was born; bee orchids for Bedfordshire, where he lived with his family; lotus flowers, representing his love for India; and poppies, for remembrance.

Some extras as well.

Part of the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the local hospice, as well as a fundraiser for them.

This one is described here.

The hospice is here.
