Jazz clouds

Busy, busy day. Helped out at a reception for a friend, went to Daniel’s outdoor music recital, and celebrated W’s birthday. This image represents the most relaxing portion of the day, when we were treated to a set by a jazz quartet. The members all are or were teachers at the music school, and one of them was Daniel’s first and most loved guitar teacher. It was so good to see him!

So sultry out. The clouds wrung themselves out for a few moments and no one minded. D played wonderfully as did the quartet, and I leaned back in a lawn chair and felt like I could see the shapes of the music behind my eyelids.
