Sunday wander

Wandered up into the estate early afternoon and it was amazingly quiet.  Hardly any cars parked up, and very few people about.  Think there were more in the cafe than in the whole estate!  Perhaps the idea of possibly having to pay for parking is putting people off.  The parking meters were supposed to be in operation from Friday, but the one by the pond is still covered over with plastic.  Purchased an iced coffee and walked around the pond - the pond was busier with birds than the estate was with people. I had forgotten my swan and duck food so tried not to notice the expectant looks!  Saw the old couple with their zimmers walking their elderly corgi, and they were talking to 2 young girls with a gorgeous corgi puppy which wanted to make friends with everybody - adorable! Walked around the top of the estate (still no people!) and then back down the hill and home past the cricket field.  The horses came over to see if I had anything interesting so more disappointment caused (not that I would feed anyone else’s horses these days - even the old standbys of carrots and mints are frowned upon!).  Warmer than I had thought when I went out.  Son cooked tea so chance to cool down!
