Mono Monday - Back to the Sixties

During the first lockdown we had plenty of time to sort through our stuff... one of the discoveries I made was a whole lot of old photo negatives going back years some of them right back to my army days as a young corporal in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

This is a photograph I took in the late sixties and it's scanned up nicely.

The vehicle is a FV434 Carrier, Maintenance, Full Tracked, that made up a FRT (forward repair team). It had everything needed to change a power-pack in a Chieftain MBT.


Just looking at this brings back so many memories (we had amazing times that made up for being cold, wet, hungry and tired).
