Thunderstorms and an Earthquake

An unusual day - this morning there was some helluva noise, like a lorry had crashed into the house - like a sonic boom - turns out it was minor earthquake.

This evening I went for a dip at Gladhouse Reservoir with a friend when a thunderstorm hit. It was mainly just persistent growling but the minute we saw lightening we were out like a flash. My friend was on the hill opposite a party that got struck a couple years back and a woman died so we weren't taking any chances. It turned out to be the only strike where we were but was the sensible thing to do despite the water being wonderfully warm.

UC was a tough one tonight - only 4 right. I'm constantly in awe of how much these young people know.
