Second Time Lucky

On This Day In History
1794: Robespierre overthrown in Paris

Quote Of The Day
"Terror is nothing more than justice, prompt, secure and inflexible."
(Maximilien Robespierre)

I made it to the Masterpieces Of The Pola Museum Of Art: Impressionism To Ecole De Paris exhibition at the Abeno Harukas Art Museum today. Appropriately French for today's On This Day In History.

A very nice exhibition but, as usual, the Van Gogh, Picasso and Chagall paintings left me unmoved. My five favourite paintings in this exhibition, in no particular order, would have to be Pear Trees In Bloom At Eragny, Morning and View Of The Road At Ennery by Camille Pissaro, Chappe Street by Maurice Utrillo, Bridge At Auxerre by Paul Signac and Mille Falconetti by Kisling.
