Early morning gardener

I remember my Nana famously worked in her garden when it was nearly dark. I gave it a crack at 7.15am before sunrise. My hands took a while to warm up.

I wanted to cut back the 4 large miscanthus grasses. Together with the old microwave and packaging from the new one, I wanted it all at what used to be call 'the dump'.

Happily these days there's a part where electrical goods are striped and recycled, another part for flattened cardboard and polystyrene, and the area for green waste.

Yes, I was first through the gate at 9am.

Today's gratitude: For ticking some things off my list.
