Ben Lomond

The initial plan had been to head further North for a day in the mountains but with severe weather including lighting due pretty much everywhere  in the afternoon our options were limited.

After scanning the MWIS forecast things didn't look too promising but Ben Lomond, the most southerly Munro, as well as being a relatively quick loop, would be in the least and latest mountain areas to be affected.

So the case proved to be; we maged a run up the Ptarmigan ridge, descent on the tourist track and a cool down afterwards (for the humans as well dogs!) in Loch Lomond with loads of time to spare. When it comes to mountains always good to have a plan A, B, and  C.... rather than stubbornly stick to a certain option!

The weather was grand, but as is often the case the peak was in cloud, so a blip of the Loch with the foot of Ben Lomond to the right of shot it is.
