I rarely seem to shoot anything during the day. But at night sometimes I have some time to myself and love walking in the fresh cool air. The nigh time makes everything more interesting to me anyway. The darkness hides things, the select lights reveal them in a much different way than the sun.

I've always loved the light trails made by cars on long exposures. It's something that photography can capture that the eye cannot. In this shot the headlights of passing cars light the foreground poles with a perfect gradient. Notice the shadows go the other direction. The only consistent (but not as bright) light source during the 10 second exposure coming from a street light out of frame to the right.
