The Green Green Grass Of Home

With apologies to Sir Tom Jones!

Over the last couple of days, I reckon that rainfall here has amounted to 2 inches or 50mm. That is about a month’s worth.

The grass is already benefitting and the brown patches are quickly turning green again!

Something to sing about!

Also the yellow and orange weather warnings did not turn out to be so dire as predicted at the beginning of the week.

However, global warming is real and present.

In the evening we watched a very interesting TV programme on BBC 2 by Chris Packham called "The Walk That Made Me".

The walk takes place along the River Itchen and the Itchen Navigation. The filming techniques are interesting and feature many drone shots.

The secondary subject is to do with his mental health. It is available on BBC iPlayer for 11 months.

Thanks to the drone shots I followed Chris’s walk on Apple Maps using the satellite options.

Pat and I have certainly benefitted from the many walks we have enjoyed over the last year or so.
