Stover Grebe Family

Thankfully, after another bad day yesterday, I seem to over my bug at last.

I've been wanting to visit Stover, after reading that the Grebes have successfully hatched 4 'humbugs' recently. An ideal opportunity to try out the new camera and lens.

It took me a while to find them but am thrilled to have captured this tender moment (along with about 100 more!) A couple more in extras
The birds stayed well away from the path and the extra reach of my new lens came into it's own.
However, I need to go back when the light is not so harsh and pay far more attention to the settings.
