Dahlia time

In the spring I bought three fairly expensive dahlia tubers from Sarah Raven then when I went away in June, I decided to park them temporarily in big pots in a shady corner under the silver birch tree, not expecting that to be a spot they'd like. But they do! I've cut loads already for the house and so far the slugs and snails haven't done too much damage. This pretty thing is the best so far (I have of course forgotten the name), a rich peachy pink with beautiful petals. Happy days.
