Is this added value?

I am always amused to see travellers who actually wrap their bags on these machines. Mostly those who purchase these wraps appear to be neophyte travellers who have heard awful tales (probably all true) about what airlines can do to bags. One seldom sees an experienced traveller succumb to this wrap lure, howevere, with the exception that they have some soft sided bag with a zipper which has just given out. Mostly this is a waste of money and wrap.
