Relaxing day

Back blipped on Friday for Thursday

Woke around 6 and had a visitor (guess who) on my bed for the next hour or so before we went for a quick walk round the nature reserve.

Quiet morning catching up on blip and waiting for MIss PHL to arrive in the car. She got here around 1, had some lunch, played with Phin and then I took her into Inverness to meet her friends.

Got back to the site and the forecast rain had arrived so we read/relaxed till after 4 when we headed out for a walk. We passed so many wild raspberry bushes, it would have been rude not to pick and eat them. So so sweet, even Phin enjoyed his share.

Stopped in a beer garden in Beauly for a quick pint of Happy chappie, a very tasty local pale ale. Slightly less scenic walk back along the footpath beside the main road to the site.

Stuart rustled up dinner - chicken stuffed with black pudding and pesto wrapped in Parma ham served with homegrown new potatoes, peas and broad beans - delicious. We sat chatting till almost midnight when I tumbled into bed neglecting to post.

Wee bit of double exposure of the rosebay willow herb which grows in abundance here for Abstract Thursday and the theme of summery/wintery- it’s such a gorgeous colour. Thanks Ingeborg.
