On the road

Last morning with the friends in Ronneby, following a lovely breakfast out in the garden, we got on the road toward “The Bridge”. That is the Oresund Bridge that links Sweden and Denmark. Such a fabulous experience, high above all the ships and sailing boats. After the Bridge, we had a couple of hours drive to Rodby, where we could soon board the ferry to Puttgarden in Germany. They checked the Covid certificates at this point, and there was no problem. A very nice 1 hour ferry journey, sat out on the deck, enjoying the sun.
The journey toward Lübeck was slow, but then we speeded up, and had a good journey to Schwierin, a beautiful city on a lake in NE Germany. We had dinner at an Italian restaurant, then drove another 3.5 hours south to Halle near Leipzig. I booked a very nice roadside hotel which was 59 Euros for 2 with breakfast, such incredible value.
