Camouflage

It's not easy to see here but there is a female mallard duck in this photograph with three chicks.  I wonder how many chicks she started off with considering how many huge seagulls are about who have chicks of their own.  Hopefully this wee group will survive.
I went for a walk with a friend and left my purse behind, this meant that when we stopped off for an unscheduled coffee I had no money with me.  Fortunately she stood me a pot of tea and three mini pastries!  I will return the favour later.
