Dam Competition

Ok folks, bear with me here.  
Because beavers are sneaky and go to great lengths to avoid attention, it was just a fluke that your intrepid reporter spotted Biff Beaver floating a branch to the dam-building venue.  Had it not been for the fact that Biff chose a branch with leaves that caught the light just right, he never would have been spotted.  I think if you look closely you can see him with the branch in his mouth.

Dam building has always been a crowd favorite in the AOG, assuming the crowds can even find the venue since the beavers don't tell anyone where they're planning to build the dam.  Of course, that's part of the fun and results in a kind of scavenger hunt in the woods which usually ends up with the officials searching for the spectators.  I think we can safely say that at that point the entire enterprise goes off the rails and the beavers go back to their dam and laugh a lot.

In a completely unrelated matter, Lizzie's trip to the vet has resulted in a diagnosis that she's healthier than I am.  Now if I could just convince her to help with the vet bill.....
