Ar Bord

After a dreadful night’s sleep, so annoying on holiday, we set off to to walk the beautiful abandoned village of Crakaig and had a picnic lunch there. We went the easy route which meant descending rather than ascending the cliff path.  I worry that the ancient ash tree does seem to have succumbed to die back.  What do you think @treshnish?  As the weather had picked up V went back to get the car and plate from Tin Shed Gallery and H and I did the rest of the walk.  She was blown away by the views out to the islands, spotting Iona Abbey through the binos.

In the evening we had a big treat.  We went to the new front room restaurant in this house in Dervaig and it was a huge success.  Charming ambience and completely delicious food from the smoked venison rémoulade, through the hake and mussels in a curried sauce and topped off with a meadowsweet panna cotta.  We took our own wine and Ivy stayed awake through out.  Took this picture on exit in the gloaming.
