What you CAN’T see…

This view from my kitchen usually includes the mountains just behind us… But with hundreds of square MILES of the West in flames, smoke and ash obscure the view this week—and dampen spirits too. Socked in and HOT and gloomy—it’s hard to feel cheerful outdoors.
