Great Scott

In an effort to make more of an effort (see yesterday's lazy blip) I wandered down to The Catholic to see if there were any New Pope festivities going on. There was nothing, at least not from the outside, I have to say I was expecting a little bunting or something.

So I walked a little further to the Scott Polar Research Institute which is well worth a visit. This statue is called 'Youth' and was created by Scott's wife Kathleen in 1920. The model was A.W Lawrence younger brother of T.E (the Arabian one). Interesting life, well worth a read.

They have a Harpoon Gun as well. I bet that could do some damage when it was in working order.
