... doesn't seem to be a problem for the pigeon.

For the pigeons, this bench is the place to visit - they've sussed out that the nearest shop is Greggs bakery. The birds actually appeared to be in a queue under the bench (see my extra). 

Probably not an activity I would want to encourage. There are far too many pigeons around town already.
