La Patrona

High drama today, starting with us being unable to open our bedroom door, fortunately LMB was awake and the door handle worked from the other side. 
No sooner had we escaped than we heard the sound of drums and bagpipes and trumpets coming closer and closer.  We raced outside to find a marching band going past the end of our road...
This happened again, an hour later (different band, same music)
Around 2pm there was more music, this time accompanied by hanky wielding dancers (see extra).
Even now, as I type, all I can hear is pipes and drums...and lots of drunken cheering.

In non pandemic times this festival lasts three days or so, of pretty much non stop music, dancing, parades and drinking (and no sleep) until around 9pm on August 2 when everyone passes out.  This year it's truly scaled back.
