Colour variation

The focus of attention here is not on the bees but the flowers.

We have had great swathes of Golden Oregano growing in the garden for many years and they attract so very many insects (and spiders lying in wait for them).

However, this year there has been a strange shift in colour; a variant if you will (popular word these days).

From flowers that are always white, we now have a purple variety.
The leaves appear darker too than the original "golden" colour.

The bees don't seem to care, and now we will have to do our own taste test.
