Lightning

Well that was a storm and a half!  40 mm of rain in an hour, with a maximum rate of 32 mm per hour.

The baby blackbird had been in the garden and I had just put some grapes and mealworms out for him before the storm came so luckily he had already taken shelter.  In my extras you can see the before and after.  Poor things!
