Chemotherapy Day

At last, a week later than planned, I got to have chemotherapy again. I’m keen to get the whole thing done if I can, so the delays are frustrating.

Overall it was an uneventful day, thankfully. Every day on this journey I’m learning something, like the chemo drugs are photo sensitive so are shielded from light by the yellow plastic cover. Who knew? Actually, cancer is so common that probably a good percentage of the population knows.

It took a while to get into the ward but I was out by the end of the afternoon. Tim dropped me off and picked me up and we had a lovely walk along the Thames so I could get some fresh air.

So far so good and no major complaints. I’m profoundly grateful for that and count myself lucky.
