Vensac

This morning we have had heavy rain showers and it feels rather cold for August.
It seemed like a good day to do a big supermarket shop, so off we went after lunch when the shops seem to be very quiet.
On the way back I thought I would do my annual blip of the life-sized dolls, or 'Mounaques' in Vensac.

Every summer, they have Mounaques, set up all over the village. This all started in 2001, when two locals made life-size models of the characters of the village.
Since then, the locals make dolls with a different theme each year. This year is the 20th anniversary and the theme is children's fairy tales.
The main photo depicts Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Alice in Wonderland.
In the first extra there is Hansel and Gretel and Aladdin.
The second extra is a view of the square from behind some of the displays under threatening skies.
