Sailors take warning

With all this smoke in the air from wildfires, we’ve had some dramatic (and eerie) sunrises, not to mention the titian Titan of a full moon last week… I’m a sailboat skipper (okay, and maritime-history-nerd), and this morning’s silhouette of my whale-wind-chime brought to mind the weather-forecast adage:
Red skies in the morning,
