Transport old and new

Popped into town this afternoon and found this magnificent steam engine parked in the centre. I mean, who'd have expected that? I was with a friend who had to park precariously so the quickest of photos had to be snatched, hence the slightly squiffy visual balance. I like that the scooter was zipping by right then. I also love the 'Gigantic Combination', it sounds very vaudeville.

The extra is the engine in colour; it's such a gloriously rich dark red that couldn't be ignored, but as a scene I prefer the b/w. 
As the engine pulled away and out of town, it gave a very loud whistle, which woke everyone up!
