Leaf on Step

At our back entry at 2 pm this afternoon. A warm, sunny and very comfortable day--low humidity for my afternoon walk. 

At the Olympics we mainly watched track and field. In that vein we also treated ourselves to a Netflix movie on Jesse Owens' appearance at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin.  It was excellent, and it didn't pull any punches.  A telling detail: after arriving on a boat back to New York, only one hotel would take him--on condition that he use the service entrance.
