Fresh snow

Yesterday’s cold wind and rain brought snow to the mountains. Here is Castle Hill Peak, with its smaller companion peak, looking well dusted. I took this shot from my back lawn.

Closer in full screen.

Late afternoon I noticed a little waxeye couple taking advantage of the sunshine on the fuchsia. He had been grooming her, which was nice. Usually it’s the other way round. By the time I got my camera they were just snuggling and “holding hands”. Waxeyes mate for life.
