Take Off

I had to pop into the Newcastle Civic Centre today to sort out my Council Tax for the year (that had kindly been miscalculated for me). Yawn. The place always has an air of vacancy, the staff shifting around devoid of enthusiasm or intuition. And I thought working at a University was bad...!

Anyhow, outside, the civic centre building does offer interest (the Tyne God and the seahorses have featured in previous blips).

Here is The Swans Water Sculpture which i've never stopped to look at before... I rather like it! (although I aspire to take a true pic of a swan in flight à la Lawrie one day...)
