for thumper

For my birthday two weeks ago I asked for a thumper. A wee pet rabbit. It was going to be grey and small. My brother gave me this green rug of "grass" for thukper to play on. But...I got no thumper.

So my question is...do I get a pet? Or is that a bad idea when I struggle to keep plants alive?
