Hidden Gem

Yesterdaywith my friends, Jon and Eric I visited an orchard hidden away behind the village of Duddingston on a hill side adjacent to Holyrood Park. It is on land owned by the district council but run entirely by community volunteers, They have many varieties of apple tree and on 29th September will be holding an Apple Day when you can taste the various types of apple on display. It was a gorgeous sunny day and the visit was capped by lunch at the Sheep's Head
