Queuing at Battlefield Rest

Battlefield Rest was built in 1914/15, as a shelter, toilets and newsagent for tram passengers. Today it is a rather fine continental bistro. I do like the fine tiling and the redecorated clock tower.

Very cold and wet as I dashed by. I hope the bus passengers didn't have long to wait.

A glimpse too of the red sandstone tenements, a feature in this part of the south-side of Glasgow. Nearly cropped out the Co-op beyond, but decided to leave it in.
