Lance-leaved sterculia

I spotted these buttery yellow seedpods on a tree on the way from the beach this afternoon. Extra is an old shot of the striking scarlet flowers of this tree I took a couple of years ago (I hope that’s not cheating) but I’d never seen this before today.
 
Even though its a bit of a come-down from the Peninsula, we are lucky to see interesting and colourful plants everywhere.
